Rolland, Joubert to referee World Cup semifinals

AUCKLAND, New Zealand(AP) Ireland's Alain Rolland and South Africa's Craig Joubert have been appointed to referee the semifinals of the Rugby World Cup.

Roland will control Saturday's first semifinal between Wales and France and Joubert will referee Sunday's clash between New Zealand and Australia.

Jonathan Kaplan of South Africa and Wayne Barnes of England will be assistant referees in the Wales-France match, while Nigel Owens of Wales and Raymond Poite of France will run the touchlines in the All Blacks-Wallabies semifinal.
