Romania makes 11 changes for Georgia match at RWC

PALMERSTON NORTH, New Zealand(AP) Captain Marius Tincu will play his 50th test when he returns to Romania's starting lineup to lead a team changed in 11 places into a Rugby World Cup clash with Georgia on Wednesday.
Romania also made 11 changes to its lineup for its last match against England but now restores its strongest combination for a Pool B match it believes it can win.
In the backs, only winger Stefan Ciuntu and flyhalf Danut Dumbrava remain from the team that played England while among the forwards Ovidiu Tonita, who moves from No. 8 to flanker, and lock Cristian Petre retain their places.
Iulian Dumitras will start at fullback ahead of Florin Vlaicu, while Csaba Gal and Tiberius Dimofte are in the centers ahead of Ionel Cazan and Dumitras and Madalin Lemnzru is on the left wing for Adrian Apostol. Florin Surugiu takes over at scrumhalf from the injured Mihai Sirbu.
Daniel Carop will play at No. 8 while Tonita and Mihai Macovei will combine on the flanks, taking over from Cosmi Ratiu and Stelian Burcea. Petre will team with Valentin Ursache in the second row after captaining Romania against England.
The veteran Tincu returns at hooker, flanked by props Paulica Ion and Mahaita Lazar after starting on the bench against England.
A total of 14 members of the starting XV started against Scotland with only Sirbu ruled out because of injury.
Tincu will play his 50th test for Romania and can be joined on a half century of internationals by fullback Florin Vlaicu who starts on the bench. If Romania lose to Georgia, it will be the first time its has lost five straight Rugby World Cup matches.
