PARIS(AP) Toulon president Mourad Boudjellal has been suspended by French rugby authorities until June 3 for making offensive comments about referees following a defeat this month.
Boudjellal made the remarks after the Top 14 match against Clermont on Jan. 8, which Toulon lost 25-19.
LNR's disciplinary committee heard the case on Wednesday and issued a statement a day later saying that Boudjellal has been suspended for "130 consecutive days'' because his comments had undermined "the image, morality and professional ethics'' of rugby.
Boudjellal is banned from attending any stadiums, including the dressing rooms and corridors.
