Running and Passing
Aim: The player in the middle has to try and intercept passes between the other three players.
Needs:
- Four players
- A rugby ball
Drill: One defender stands in the middle of three players, trying to intercept the ball as the other three move around and pass it to one another.
If the person standing in the middle intercepts the ball, they then become one of the three passers.
The player whose pass was intercepted then goes into the middle.
Benefits: This is an easy drill to help you improve your basic running and passing skills.
Adding the tackling will also help you improve your tackling and evasion skills.
It is also great fun, especially with your team-mates and school friends.
